It really opens my eyes on the things we take for granted in places like Mumbai. Something as common as salt, these people are pretty much giving their lives for.

We have come a long way as Indians, from the the salt satyagraha movement led by Mahatma Gandhi as one of the first stepping stones to freedom, to now providing table salt detergents etc. to the common household, massive respect to these workers, it's a shame how little they get paid compared to the industrialists, capitalism at its fines. Stuff like this really humbles me.

They shouldn't have to suffer so much to produce such a necessity to the world. Would be great to see people band together and get these guys the best tools and improved lifestyle they deserve.

Major respect to people who live in these conditions just so first worlders can flavour their food. I wish I had a way to donate to them.

I would happily pay more for salt. I never knew it took so much work. However not just for more profits I want it to go to the workers.
This is heartbreaking. Makes you value the little that you have.
