Think about pangngalan this way
Pang + ngalan
Pang = modifier
Ngalan = name
Pangngalan = "to name" aka noun
That's my theory as to why pangngalan is the way it is

this is why philippines ranked low on tests. most people here just want to pull eachother down. its rare to see people helping eachother. what's worse is that when foreigners visit the philippines, they become hospitable. but when it's eachother, they ignore who needs help. it's like neo-colonialism, we're developing but we are being groomed to be submissive. i really wish we can mitigate the next generations dependency on technology. i also want to see them help eachother grow to be a better person and not to destroy eachother. i really hope our country has not lost yet.

I guess meron talagang mga tao na pumapasok lang para sa baon 🤷. We've been taught about "Pangngalan" since Elementary. I don't know why everyone who commented on that post thinks the teacher is wrong. they should've done research before they laugh it off *sigh*.

Honestly, whoever said "Spelling dapat Pangalan" is understandable, but needs a review on their Filipino classes

Also, shower thought, Pangngalan kinda translates to me as "For Naming" which makes sense for Nouns since it usually refers to names

Cannot believe the sight of some ppl having no knowledge on such a topic, I guess it is just right to say that the Filipino subject is really needed. Some kids really just go to school solely for the purpose of fun and not learning.

In fact, most of the translations of the parts of speeches in Filipino can easily be remembered if you know this:

Pangngalan - pang + ngalan (to name)
Pang-uri - pang + uri (to classify/describe)
Pandiwa - pan + diwa (to give life)
Panghalip - pang + halip (to substitute)
Pang-ukol - pang + ukol (to destine)
