Lou... THANK YOU for doing this review.  I was looking at buying this for the main floor of my home but this review changed my mind.  With 7, 000 square feet, it would be useless.  Guess I'll stick to doing it manually.  Thanks again!

I have roombas and love them.  But I also purchased a Neato Botvac a few weeks ago.  And wow, it is amazing.  Check out the reviews on my channel.  It maps the room, doesn't waste time, and hits every spot once.  Cleans a whole single story of my home in about 1 hour.    Roomba will clean my first story for 2 hours, and I split it into 2 sections with a lighthouse, so about 1 hour on each side, then it goes back home.  Usually roomba does get everywhere in those two hours, but not every single run.  If you run every day this isn't a problem, because what is missed today, can be found tomorrow.  But or a larger house like yours where you are having trouble completing the job in a whole day, you may want to check out a neato botvac for your 2nd level.  See my page for information about them and some tips on what model to choose.
