It took me three separate rewatches to realize that this song is actually Yui's final message to Shinji. It's beyond astounding how the full version of this song encapsulates the entire message of the show, something that lore videos take like 30 minutes to do.
I also don't think there exists another song that so accurately and meaningfully portrays the special love of a mother for her child. As someone who lost their mother as they turned 20, nothing makes me feel closer to her than this passage.

Best english version, the lyrics flow better and you could see they made more effort to have the lyrics actually make more sense than just trying to paraphrase the direct translation. The only thing is the quality of the audio since the original was posted in like 2013 or so, if only the original singer could come back and redo a HQ version

What makes this superior than the other English covers is there seems to be far less word, thus not taking attention away from the instrumental.
Also the vocalist in this, isn't "forcing" themself to adjust to the flow (like singing faster), and their delivery is much more melodic, and doesn't seem like they're reading off a paper.

Glad I found this again, best english version by far. Its a shame the original is lost because that was accompanied by NGE snippets that went along perfectly with the music, making it one giant summary of the show it was great

My first time listening to this, but I've already seen the lyrics on the Evangelion wiki.
Edit: I checked the wiki and discovered that the English lyrics they had for the TV-size version were _not_ these lyrics, but were almost identical in the chorus (the full-length English lyrics were just a direct translation of the Japanese), so I edited the page to use these lyrics instead.
