Crazy I know, but Wright brand bacon didn't fair really well. Was that a fluke?

I use wrights thick cut bacon. But if I want crispy and thin I want Smithfield’s. ❤❤❤

Right now for me it's Kirkland thick centercut
I season then bake my bacon on a cookie sheet covered top and bottom with parchment paper in a cold oven set to 400°. Once temp is reached check for doneness every 3 minutes . Remove and save all bacon grease. This method gives no splatter/ no mess/ no cleaning simply drain into container and throw out the parchment paper

Was Black label until grocery stopped carrying it. Prices for the factory stuff got so expensive ($11/12 pound) that i started to look at the fresh cut stuff at the butcher counter. For half the price ($6) we get a pound of pretty thick cut bacon without all the preservatives and other junk... and it tastes a thousand times better!

My fav is Farmland thick cut. It may be a Midwest only thing, I do not know. But Oscar Mayer and Hormel are always good too.

I love all bacon, and even a low cost "ends and pieces" package can turn out great if you use a bacon press while cooking. Most times, my bacon gets cut up or crumbled anyway, because it's so much more versatile than a few strips laying on someone's plate.

I buy a local bacon made 7 miles from me. It's good stuff and they make a few different types. Thin, thick, different hard woods for smoke, and seasonings like pepper, jalapeno, etc. Buy local. Support the community.

Hatfield extra thick hickory smoked is my favorite grocery store pick. My favorite bacon is from M&T meats in Hawkinsville Georgia.

That was an easy taste test. No such thing as bad bacon 🥓 😂. For us it’s HORMEL BLACK LABEL THICK CUT.

Now if you just want a bunch of bacon bits, using bacon to cook with fresh green beans and new potatoes? We have used BAR S. A little fatty at times and a little salty to use for a meal. But ok for seasoning something. Great video. Your assistant done an excellent job. God bless.

i like Kunzler bacon. i get a 5 lb package and break it into quarters and freeze it. I wait till it comes on special. right now 5 lbs is $21.99 which comes out to about $4.40 a lb, so I'll pick up some this week. great segment. nice to see you working with your

Oscar Mayer center cut is my favorite (never had Wrights, don't care for thick cut, doesn't get crispy enough). Are you sure you didn't just buy 9 packs of bacon so you can have bacon for every meal for a week? Lol. Thats the excuse I would use, "just trying them out". Excellent idea involving your little one to play.

I like Kirkland bacon or Farmland but don't know if you'd have that in the south. Need to try you some pepper bacon....THAT'S some good groceries!!!!
