How does an image form : Assume, light rays form a source hits the mirror and reflects back. Very few light rays may be absorbed and get refracted.These are refraction of those reflections.(Refraction- bending of light rays.) All the refracted rays meet at a single point. Therefore, the image is formed at that point. Now coming to real concept, imagine that the refractions are imaginary and try to corelate it with the above explanation. Hope you will understand.
