Btw you can prevent the guts from spilling out by using the screw off part, breaking it off the pointy part and screwing it on to the gun, and fire some green beans out if it. Just reload by using the ink to push the mechanism back in place

In the '70's and '80's we did this with almost any pen, the Bic pens were the best tho.

“My pen just exploded!” Was my go to for explanation. Was only good once in a while bc the excuse only goes so far after the teacher low key watches you construct this artillery piece.

I used to make these back in middle school. To keep the spring and plastic part from being lost, I would typically screw the tip of the pen back on and use smaller projectiles and open up the tip of the pen a little more using the pair of scissors and I would just reload it by sticking the ink stick down the chamber to reload it and reset the spring. Fun times.

yo I thought i was the only person to know the spring shot, i found out the spring shot by myself when i was disassembling a g2 from my mom or dad since they have like a pack of 20. From elemantry to middle school i made a ton of pen launchers for fun. my mom actually hated my pen launchers cause we would have no more pens in the house. with the spring shot it goes around maybe 10-15 feet away, and is diffciult to find the spring on carpets so yea, def fun to shoot in math class
