So I was inspecting my hive of 101 bees, and I noticed one on the ground. It was alive but wasn’t moving. I picked it up to take a closer look but could find nothing physically wrong.

I took it to some other local beekeepers and held it out as they looked it over. One of them looked up at me and blurted out, “I love your eyes!” I was taken aback, as I never considered them to be one of my best features.

I guess it’s true what they say - beauty is in the eye of the beeholder.

She is really hard to find. New level of respect for beekeepers. It also makes me want to learn more. I want to eventually start my own meadery, and I want to supply my own honey. And I thought, what could be more relaxing than beekeeping? You have to be relaxed and calm with these little ladies. The more I know, the less scared I am of them, and for that, I thank you.

Woah... I found her without meaning to. I saw her and was like, no way I saw her that easy. And I followed her hoping I was right. For once trusting my instincts and I GOT HER!! so proud.
I do know I'm an artist so I'm good at spotting slight color difference's. This is hard because the bees are constantly moving!
