We look at some of the potato mediums starting with the fresh manure, coco coir with comfrey concentrate and finally woodchips and nothing else with a little tour thrown in.

Amazing how fast the grass, clover and potatoes broke down the fresh manure. I knew the the leaf mold rejects would kick but !!! We have a huge pile of basically the same material, I flipped it yesterday and can't wait to get some potatoes growing in it

I too collect leaves. Sometimes mixed with grass. That mixture get's hot, quickly!

I watched you collect leaves for about 10 minutes the other day. How odd, I thought, to watch someone else collect leaves. I learned how to fill a bag better, so it wasn't a waste of time (not that I thought that anyway).

The dreaded whitefly. My brassicas on the plot were infested this year. Need to be spraying them next year. What's the best stuff to use which don't kill ladybirds?
