Chad Answered: The rule of thumb on the DC-DC chargers is to stay below 50% of your alternators rating. So for example, if you have a 200A alternator, you would not want to exceed 100A.

I purchased your plan to rebuild a 50 amp power system in my trailer and it has gone great, just one question. In your video you say to turn off the existing converter and tape the breaker off. Can I simply remove the converter as it would be the perfect spot for my splice kit box to go?

hey guys i have a quick question. When I store my fifth wheel with a 200 ah solar system in the summer between camp outs should I turn off the solar charging to my battery or just let the BMS take care of all charging and hopefully not over charging. Thanks, Mike

Good Morning. I have 2 200 Watt pannels. 1 gets shade from AC unit and the othere is sun. Is it better to have parallel or series. Knowing the shade effects the power in the sys. Thank you Jack
