Your phone is so close to a computer these days, you may as well treat it like one. Here’s how to connect a mouse and keyboard to your Android phone.

I love using my phone with a leyboard and mouse. I have a very good laptop but I turn to this because it's such a novel thing to me.There are a couple exra points to this feature, so bear with me:

OTG compatible devices can operate a number of peripherals simultaneously using a Dex hub or dongle, which is a USB-C adapter that lets you connect a wired keyboard, mouse, monitor via HDMI, a type C port for charging, and additional ports for external storage like SD cards or drives.

You can configure the mouse with custom mapping for up to five buttons. You can also adjust the speed for the scroll wheel and cursor. Custom cursors don't seem to be a thing yet.

The keyboard is also customisable with different languages and keyboard layouts. Android has keyboard shortcut capability and media and additional function keys work, as well. If you want a full screen when typing, you can disable the on-screen keyboard while a physical keyboard is connected.

Samsung Dex dongles or brand name ones support fast charging, meaning the phone won't lose power, rahter gain some, as it's reading from several exterior peripheries. You do have to configure the charge port in USB settings, because phones can act as power banks to each other.

The feature doesn't seem to be supported for mobile games, so keep that in mind when you think to play games with a PC user interface.

You can use any use keyboard and mouse. Wireless devices and even display output at the same time.

If your feeling particularly savvy, use your phones 5g connection as a wired Ethernet router to your pc/laptop instead of wireless.
