First he commits an undescribable act of violence against myself, then recommends my video on the Opera S2000 - completely balanced. Unlike the Cien. Excellent video!

It's interesting how some cars benefit from a semi-racing kit more than the fully customisable suspension kit simply because the full custom kit doesn't offer low enough spring rates to be effective within GT4's physics, there's definitely some other cars that would've benefited from something like that (but are stuck with a full racing kit)

The explanation of how shifting speed is determined at 2:28 is mostly correct, but missing a key detail of how it actually works. The shifting speed is determined by the ratio between iflywheel and enginebrake, not just the enginebrake parameter alone.
iflywheel defines the flywheel mass which influences how much force is needed to spin it up, and enginebrake is the flywheel inertia which influences how much inertia it carries / how quickly the revs fall. When free-revving these parameters act independently but when shifting the rev fall speed is generated out of the ratio between the two for some reason.
The parameters PD set for a given car are often odd, don't make sense for the car, and generally were set to shift really slow, cien being a prime example, but the peugeot 905 is by far the worst, in real life it shifts near-instantly.
To shift faster the enginebrake needs to be higher in relation to iflywheel, and vice versa. You can divide the two parameters to get a ratio value, and then you can compare to other cars to see which drivetrain part offers the quickest shift speed

Glad you mentioned you can hold R2 to prevent downshifts on AT⚙I think a lot dont know about it. Some cars don't deserve to see being in 1st gear.

Hey mate! Your Gran Turismo guides are genius! I used your GT2 guide, tuned a maxed out Mazda Demio A-Spec and beat the Vector M12 LM Edition in the Trial Mountain Endurance race. The difference after tuning was incredible!

Never expected to watch such a complete optimization on the Cien and the music at 6:17 from Kula World (world 6) is a perfect touch to the video, great hit of nostalgia, what can i say other than excellent video!

Great guide man. I remember first stumbling on your channel with the GT3 guide, insane how far you’ve come with the content/quality since then ❤ (and where did all that time go LOL)

I wasn't expecting to get recommended a 26 minute video on the Cien and definitely wasn't expecting a Viper reference in a GT4 video.

Nice video, both types of content sound interesting to me, but I'd probably prefer to see deep dives on more cars.

Cheeky Mass Effect & Ridge Racer tunes in the background, lovely choices too.. Never touched the Cien before, yet as with all your uploads you have me wanting to get back playing the game to try out new things, Cheers TeaKanji!
