Conference play begins with the 2-1 Warhawks traveling to SJSU. We looked like a strong team in the first two games, but the Washington State matchup was a real wake up call. Now with conference play here, are the Warhawks ready to compete for a conference title?

Who woulda thought when the O-line actually blocks the offense can have success? They need to keep up that level of blocking because if they don't the entire offense stutters.

Week 5: Kalispell @ San Jose State

Final Score: Kalispell- 38 San Jose State- 17

Kalispell took advantage of a weak San Jose defense and ran roughshod over them today. With the offensive line having their best game of the season thus far, Roscoe Sheridan ran for 130 yards on 21 carries with a score. The defense played great once again and limited San Jose's mobile QB, thus limiting their otherwise hapless offense. This was exactly how Kalispell wanted to open conference play. They'll need more wins like this in order to compete in what is looking like a tight, crowded Mountain Division this year. UNLV is Kalispell's first tough MWC opponent, and they'll face them next week. Kalispell will need to win these kind of games in order to edge out the big teams like Wyoming and New Mexico.
