Last night I was researching victor frankl’s idea of wishing for what we don’t want to happen to happen. If we allow/want the bad thing to happen to us even to the point of laughing at ourselves that we’re freed from the fear of it. I wish I could remember what the principal was called. But it seems right in line with this thinking

I've discovered similar things many times, even with boredom, I hate to sit still and can't deal with the emotion itself but the more I lean into it (or forced into it lol), the better I feel. And tend to discover a new emotion or new space within that wasn't available before, rather than my usual process of attempting to cover it up with another emotion 😅
