Cicero is very easy to underestimate but the fact that his madness does not take away his intellect nor his fighting prowess is genuinely terriffying. He takes down Vizeera, manages to in canon RUN AWAY from a werewolf ON FOOT and runs ACROSS THE PROVINCE which is much MUCH larger in lore and severely injures the said werewold while he himself didn't get critically injured. Besides his voice when doesn't pitch it is even pleasant.

If you attack Cicero near Shadowmere, he'll side with Cicero and attack you.

Not even the horse wants him dead.

Not all voice acting in Skyrim or other Elder Scrolls games for that matter is necessarily very good, but Cicero's VA did a perfect job, all props to Andy Morris!

Cicero's breakdown where he threatens you and goes on about how it should have been him, then says it's a joke and stays loyal made me like him a lot lol.

Honestly I think Cicero attacking you when you first encounter him at the Dawnstar Sanctuary makes perfect sense. He knows you are listener and ordinarily that would be enough to earn his loyalty, but ultimately his loyalty is to Sithis, the Night Mother, and the traditions of old. He's been watching you follow Astrid's orders, he sees you as loyal to her and her ambitions, not to the traditions he holds in such high regard. As he mentions his initial assumption (which is a correct one) is that you have been sent by Astrid to kill him. He feels ultimately betrayed by the very faction he's poured his absolute everything into, and he projects that emotion onto you as his ultimate betrayer. It is only when you choose to spare him that he fully realizes he was wrong about you and commits himself to aiding you instead.

Ironically, this moment goes both ways. He has a preconceived notion about you, but you probably also have a preconceived notion about him. This, aside from your orders, is what drives you to conflict. This moment serves as the ultimate test of what future you will bring to the brotherhood.

This is probably the most memorable scene for me! "Damndest Wagon Wheel!" That line has been said by me almost on a daily basis due to my work commute driving past a restaurant called the Wagon Wheel. My wife can not understand my plea for sanity, as there is a certain "madness" that has befuddled me.

Cicero a man out of time, defying the gods and fate for Sithis, and the Night Mother. He is a true Dark Brotherhood assassin. Once you realize how much Cicero had to go through in order to make it to Skyrim, survive in Skyrim and still be loyal to Sithis, and the Night Mother. Well you will understand why Sithis cries out from the void to spare him.

A pair of dumping-victim kittens my husband and I rescued are pseudo-black cats that we named Lucien and Cicero. Lucien is very reserved and deliberate in his behaviors, while Cicero is an extremely vocal, goofy little mama's boy who follows me all over and spends hours every day in my lap. When Cicero wants something from me (to be scooped up, food, treats, etc), he lets out these long, loud calls as he looks up at me. My husband sometimes goofs on me and Cicero by matching his pitch and length of call, but says "Night Motheeerrrr!".

I love my precious little Void babies! <3

I can't think of a single quest, character or interaction in Skyrim that had me hooked and enthralled more than Cicero and his story did from beginning to end. He is my favorite character in the game and it isn't even close - the writing, voice acting and even all the little animation flourishes like his dancing combine to create such a memorable character. Lovable for some, loathsome for others, but impossible to forget.

Cicero is the very definition of an interesting and well designed NPC. From the clothes, the voice and his speech patterns you notice him right away and get curious about what his deal is. Then you meet him again and learn his story and want to know more, and the finale is just perfect. Good lore, unquie design and he can become a follower.

My mouth literally fell open when 29:41 I saw the ghost say Sithis doesn't want Cicero to die

I've always loved Cicero character, totally agree with you about him being one of the best npc in Skyrim. His story is so unique and honestly quite creative from a writing perspective, and the voice acting is fenomenal (I never understood why people hated that so much) no other character in the game made me remember a line of dialog I only heard once or twice.

"And I'll be honest [the encounter] is pretty hard to miss." Oh... Oh, uh, yeah. P-pretty hard to miss... I don't regularly miss it. Nope, not me. I don't do that. I don't find a way to miss it.

Astrid’s own personal Starscream. Love this little oaf.

Cicero is a love letter from Oblivion, alive and well in Skyrim.

The writing, the whimsy, the off kilter humor. It's all there.

Oh, hey, one of my villain blorbos! Cicero remains my favorite Skyrim character, to this day, and not just because I am prone to adoring many fictional villains. 😅

Personally, I always found him to have the most enriching characterizations, out of all Skyrim NPCs. He captivated me since day one, and I'll always appreciate the bombastic and stab-happy jester. 🖤🖤🖤

Might be controversial to say, but Cicero is my favourite character across all TES entries. After reading his journals way back in 2011 I've been so fascinated by this character

I never kill Cicero any more in playtgrough. He is one of the best followers in Skyrim. Not just on Assassin missions.
My fave, yet one of the most irritating lines Cicero says is, "Oooo that tickles" when I ask him to carry some booty after mission completions. He's weird, but one of the most entertaining NPCs in the game.
