Not gonna lie, Dr Ian Malcolm distracting the Giganotosaurus was a nice callback to the first film where he distracted the T-rex and get's injured. And it was cool when Dr Grant saved Ian from falling off the ladder.

What's truly amazing is that 4 people managed to climb that ladder in the time it took the Giganotosaurus to spit out that ladder cage from it's mouth, which was like a total of 10 seconds.

I honestly thought between Hollywood’s obsession with killing legacy characters off and Ian having supposed to die in the first movie and novel that he wasn’t going to make it to the end of this movie. As soon as he snuck into the vehicle I was ready to cry.

I know a lot of people are complaining that the thing just didn’t go ahead and eat them. But honestly I actually liked what they did here. The giganotosaurus it’s just being curious. It’s probably never seen humans before so it’s really just investigating them. It’s pretty much when Ian chucks a fire locus into it’s mouth that it now actually attacks them.
I feel like people really forget that these are animals not mindless killing machines

And him saying, "You made a promise... to a dinosaur?" was the one moment where I smiled.

0:52 Fun Fact: This scene of the Giga next to the High platform is a Callback to the old video game *Dino Crisis 2*, where the final boss of the game was a Giganotosaurus, and you had to run across platforms during the boss fight. VERY clever scene, and what a call back!!! Didn't get it until just now.
