One close cousin to Quick Study is Artificer's Epiphany which does rely on having an artifact in play to have no drawback when you draw the cards.

Only reason I know Counsel of the soratami is frombuilding moonfolk tribal. it was there for flavor, though the big thing I did was infinite landfall and infinite counterspell at the same time

I always heard Divination for the base template, so I assumed Divination came first.

power creep is a downwards slope, it can be gentle or steep, but either way, you are still going down. You know that power creep cant continue forever.
