Sometimes we have tough decisions to make and it's never easy. One route is safe and the other is scary. Today, I talk about some leaps I've made -- including quitting my job with nothing to go to.

Great story Eric, thanks for sharing!
I've done similar and ended up going backwards, I started out in employment, was made redundent (around 2003), went contracting for 8 years which was an amazing experience, but then hit a very rough patch in 2011 where opportunities just disappeared for most of the year and so ended up in a dead-end employment job because I had a kid, and another on the way.
I can definitely relate to how scary it is supporting a family when you have no work!
We now have 4 kids and it's definitely hard to justify making that leap of faith again when you have a family to support :-(

I am filling so happy when, some of my colleagues leaving. I know i may never see them again, but i am thinking of it as of new life. But it take a lot of courage to do that. And i can't wait to be truly independent one day :)
