There are probably 731 ways to talk about tools where, intentional or not, it's a thinly veiled ad instead of real buying advice. Thank you for finding a way to share your knowledge and excitement about tools in an honest way.

The cat is the best part of this entire video, hands down!

First, love your vids. Never lose the humor aspect.

Second, the tools from Blue Spruce truly are ready to use out of the box. Their attention to detail is uncanny. I have a dovetail saw from them, and their little chisel plane. The chisel plane is perfectly sharpened as it comes, and the sole of it gives new meaning to the term flat. The only tool I've ever seen that truly deserves to be called dead flat.

I’m kinda excited about the new JessEm stainless steel precision squares! They have the same grippy texture as the rulers. Great review!

Popular Woodworking magazine did a review of the Blue Spruce mortise chisels in the latest issue. They described the shock absorber aspect differently. Instead of being an ergonomic issue they described it as traditional chisels acting as a shock absorber for your mallet blow and the rod through the handle acting to remove that effect and transfer all of the force to the tip.

I finally bought a set of the blue spruce dovetail chisels and they are scary sharp out of the package. I love them!!

I would love to see a PMV11 vs Blue Spruce bench chisel video. I've been thinking about upgrading my chisels and those two seem to be at the top of the list.

I trust your reviews implicitly Mark, with all your disclaimers, etc. My problem is just that my tool budget isn't even in the same universe. I'll have to buy some new chisels soon, and am hoping to find a decent set in the $60-75 range. As I said, that's MY

I’ve had my eye on the RG-2 but haven’t pulled the trigger yet- glad to see a positive review on them!

I really appreciate the transparency in your tool review videos! Even some creators that I would generally trust put out videos that sometimes feel just like a sales pitch and if they don't tell me they aren't selling me something for money, then I really question whether or not they believe in the tool. You and JKM are two that come to mind that are always transparent and I know (or think I know) I can trust what you're saying to be your true opinion and with our best interests in mind. Thanks!

Thanks Marc (notice the c, not a k). The roller looks quite useful.

Keep this going. As an unskilled just for fun woodworker and just bang a repair together home repair guy i can get a lot of information a fun out of these.

Very nice review of premium quality tools that perform as the price point would dictate.

Hey Marc,
Random Idea for Video Series: Revisit some of your projects and share how they've held up, what maintenance you've done, and anything you would have done differently. I got this idea after watching your 6+ year old jewelry box video and I'm dying to see how its held up against your 2 to 8 year old daughter!
Thanks for the many years of great content!!

Those Jess-Em rulers are neat, but a bit pricey when you can do the same basic thing for way less. After an incident where I cut myself scribing a knife line on some work, I used double sided tape to stick some 400 grit sandpaper to the back of all my rulers (except the blades on my combination squares) which keeps the rulers perfectly in place when scribing.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the Graco Ultra Quickshot in comparison to more traditional HVLP systems.
