Inventor – Parametric Modeling
In 3D modeling, parametric sketching is the term that comes up frequently. Parametric sketching, the basis for 3D modeling in Autodesk Inventor software, is a type of sketching that uses equations and parameters to drive geometry.
The feature-based parametric modeling technique enables the designer to incorporate the original design intent into the construction of the model.
Parametric modeling captures the design intent with geometric relationships so if a designer changes one dimension, the entire model updates to accommodate the new parameter.
