The everyday joys of detecting. Touching lead is one thing, rubbing it with bendy finger is probably not good.

I really wouldn't worry about handling the lead without gloves, wouldn't recommend putting it in your mouth but you're perfectly safe holding it with bare hands unless it's came from Chernobyl 🤣
