There are multiple parts to Matt's success. Obviously the Yankum Ropes play a very big part. But choosing the best attachment points and attachment pieces play a significant part too. Then Matt's strategy, not just dumb luck. Tie it all together.

I am so glad I had been watching Matt use his Yankum rope(s) on his YouTube channel! I bit the bullet and bought one (over $300 altogether - including shipping), and coincidentally used it 3 days after receipt to extract my bogged down ~25 hp Kubota tractor from mud. Prior to that, I'd tried to use the SUV's 9600# Warn winch, but it wouldn't budge - it just started dragging the SUV toward the tractor! Similarly, trying to tow the tractor out directly with my 5.4 liter 4x4 6700# Expedition in Low range didn't help. It was really stuck! Sure glad I had the Yankum as we got even more rain shortly thereafter! I thought I was going to have to hire a tow truck, which wouldn't have been cheap! I've really learned a lot from watching Matt's approach. Obviously, brute force power isn't always the answer. He's pulled out a lot of big, heavy rigs using his Jeep and the Yankum ropes. Amazing and seemingly a really nice, hard-working guy too!

Can't believe that I came here to watch an advertisement when I pay you-tube to not show me advertisements but whenever Matt shows a video, I watch it.

My family had a rope like this used on the farm to pull tractors and combines since the late 70s. Back when you bought the rope and had to fashion the ends your self. Luckily we had a couple handy brother in laws that were able to turn rope and rebraid it back with eyes on each end.

Kinetic rope from Miolle really "change the game" An amazing recovery tool for any off road vehicle. But also extremely useful for a two wheel drive auto stuck in the snow, Sand, or mud. Easy to use and stores simply in it's carry bag in the trunk or tool box. The quality is 100%! Service from the company is excellent. Loved their tool!

I don't know in the US but the flat strap can be kinetic too and that what you need for vehicle recovery. And the strap is easier to store than the rope 😉

I was a passenger in a tow Land Rover using a kinetic recovery rope on a stuck Land Rover. I don't know why but I found it hysterically funny to zoom forward, feel the rope stretching and the stuck vehicle keep whizzing us back again. We did get the stuck one out OK but it was a great laugh - no idea why I found it funny though.

I gotta say, I love your vids, and your yellow rig. I’ve got an ‘87 that’s had a hard year, 330 k mikes on the odo, but runs like new. Rear ended in June. then stolen, but she’s back and waiting for a repair, and then my own restoration. XJ’s!

haha, ya big nerd (I mean that in the nicest way), that was a super cheesy commercial and I think it is awesome. Good stuff! I want to buy one now that AZ has cooled down and offroad weather is back. The ropes are awesome, but you have skills to go with them.

Yeah yeah, LOL Matt you make it look so easy. But you do a wonderful job and I have learned so much from watching all of your videos. The main thing I’ve learned, that you should not do an evil Knievel over a Sandune. Enjoy watching your videos in the oil fields thank you for the entertainment..

I appreciate the demo. My education continues... dumping the flat strap with hooks, getting loops... and a good kinetic rope, too. I might need a bigger boat. 🤔

Lol I've used flat recovery straps for years, there is a difference between a flat tow strap and a flat recovery strap

The recovery strap does have elasticity and functions essentially the same as your recovery rope.

I recently purchased a 1.25 inch recovery rope and look forward to a 0.75 inch one as well.

I cannot wait to try rope vs straps.
