All 3 of my cars have 200k miles! What do I drive and why I drive older high mileage cars

Follow along as my 3rd car hits 200k miles! I like older high mileage cars that already have a few dents and scratches so I don't feel guilty about using them for whatever purpose I decide to use them for.

I'm like you. Pay cash and drive them nearly maintenance free other than general stuff. However, all three of my vehicles are low mileage examples of much older vehicles. 1995 Chevrolet C1500 w/136, 0000, 1992 GMC C1500 w/134, 000 and 1975 Chevrolet Long Wheel Base G20 Van w/148, 000. Total cost for all three $3, 850 over the course of 8 years. I always throw new tires on new to me vehicles and do a good full once over. I'd say with PM and tires I'm all in at around $5, 500 with brakes, suspension tires and maintenance. The only interest I'm interested in is my own, not that which is paid on a car loan lol. I love that. I take pictures of the same events. My pick up is a 98 as well (chev though) . Sweet $800 Lawn mowers in the back of the truck. Speaking of Ford I drive what i can afFORD. My motto, Can you start it, stop it, and steer it. No payments. I just did the plugs on the Kia Soul.

Yeah as long as they run.. and don't cost much.. yeah my old van failed in the end.. but only cost $30.. hope all is good

i just bought a scion xb which is similar... used cheap cars are the best purchases.... and they last a long time

Nice synopsis of your vehicles Casey 👍 I have 3 as well. 02 Chevy S10 222, 000, 99 Monte Carlo 203, 000 & my pride & Joy 94 GMC Sierra with 65, 000 original miles. No payments on them. My wife drives a 2020 Chevy Trax with 7, 500 miles... payments on it!

I have a 94 thunderbird 300k miles. 2010 Chevy Malibu 180k miles. Wife has 2017 Mazda 6 with 12k.. I keep my cars for ever.

Your white Honda ..you can get new headlight assembly for around $120..
I bought new ones for my wife's Toyota and looked awesome.. then we traded it in for the Mazda, it had 210k on it.

that is like me with my 08 dodge avenger it has 217k on it and my 94 dakota aka (big red) lol has 196k on it i dont want a car payment either but the car has piling up issues i have to address soon when i can. good video casey

You cant kill them with regular maintenance. Plus the element is a plastic body

When you get where you pay cash for everything, your credit score will go down . You need to buy on credit once in a while to keep the credit score up . Free piece of advice 👍

Have a 03 corolla with almost 235, 000 on it got it almost 2 years ago with 165, 000 just done normal matanace except for a radiator and a wheelbearing at around 200k

Hondas are great cars. and as far as the Ford goes, , yea, , with a little care they last, heck the ford truck I drove wt work had well over 500K on it
