I cried when the orthodontist told me I was getting a permanent retainer but then life hit a little too hard and that little wire saved my teeth from shifting back. Depression definitely kicks ass and my teeth would've definitely shifted back if I had to rely on putting my removable retainers in every night.

My wifey gets hers removed in 5 months. She's devastated. She LOVES her bracers. I've been trying to hype her up for the moment because I know it'll be hard for her, but the truth is... I'M NOT READY EITHER!! 😭😭😭 They look so good on her. 😭😭

Oh man I felt this soooo hard!!! I hated my teeth before, but really hated them after I got my braces removed and missed my old teeth. Took me a couple of years to actually like them aesthetically. The important thing is not the aesthetic of straight teeth though, but the health benefits that can come with it. I have to remind myself of this when I feel insecure about the way they look. Health first folks!

So true! My daughter had her braces in for 2yrs. When she finally removed it, she felt so ugly. She said even her smile looks weird. Now’s she’s back to normal, loving her teeth without braces and can’t imagine doing braces again. 😂

Almost every class mate who got their braces off including myself was shy on the first day afterwards, just brush your teeth and feel how soft and nice it feels
