I had a cop once pull me over and ask "where are you coming from" so I told him work. He googled the place and was like nah you don't work there.
I was so confused why I had to prove my employment history to this stranger 😂

Last part about "if they didn't have probable cause, they wouldn't be asking" isn't always true.

I was homeless between 2018 & 2021 & got the cops called on me for sitting in a YMCA lobby during business hours texting people to see if I could crash on someone's couch for the night.

12 cops showed up & they physically separated me from my bag while yelling the question of do they have permission to search my bag "for weapons" from the north end of a long hallway while I was down at the south end & I said they didn't have permission twice, they searched my bag anyway & found a qp of loud that I was selling to feed myself. I was able to get the charges busted down to disorderly conduct, but I still got harassed for being homeless. Shit like this needs to stop. This happened in winter 2019 & I'm still pissed about it, in all honesty.

When I worked traffic as a uniformed police officer, I would ask the driver why do you think I’m stopping you? If they were honest with me then I ALWAYS rewarded them with a warning. Pays to be honest.

Got a warning, thanked him for his service. We talked about 5 minutes. Former marine. We fist bumped. I'm black and he's white. Didn't have attitude. Submitting is not a bad thing
