The dynamic markings in this score are so perplexing to me as I practice it myself! So many drastic changes of sentiment and character. One of my teachers said of K540 that it is a piece he feels he could 'live inside forever'. I understand that - and for me it is K 511...you have opened a new door for me to look upon this most wonderful of musical creations.

Amazing how Mozart turns pain into beauty, and your playing captures every nuance of that. Thank you so much for sharing.

Beautiful. But I don't believe Mozart was as perplexed as you. His Catholic faith always seems present in all his works though he sifts through all the doubts and extremes of being that plague us all. Nonetheless his confidence shines and he always leaves redemption available. Thank you for playing the piece right. I pray your influence and students reign. We have lost our beloved masters.

Mozart’s chromaticism here is remarkable.

I'm late to the party. Seymour Bernstein - what a guy. I'm working my way thru his contributions on UTube. He is adorable. His truth telling is refreshing and honourable

I don't understand. The piece has a tempo marking of Andante. The Andante is clearly visible in the manuscript- which we all know is a sort of "walking/ambling tempo". It is also in 6/8 which obviously in some places can be felt in 2. Your playing is almost an Adagio/Adagietto? and rarely even approaches anything like an Andante. Your sound/tone is very beautiful but any reason behind your really very slow choice of tempo? Hmm..
