This video is the proof that you don't need to be loud and extra enthusiastic to keep someone engaged in a video! Well done, as a micro micro micro youtuber I appreciate these videos!

Interesting take on it! I feel like YT is getting better at promoting smaller channels out there. A tip I have is to have the mindset of feeding YouTube with videos that u wanna do, and eventually it will figure out who to send your video to. That also means you have to focus in a specific niche and specific style/keywords/type of videos. I randomly came across this video btw! Good content keep it up :D

Writing is so important. When you write down ALL your ideas, you have taken the first step in manifesting the thing that you wrote.

Great inspiring video to those who want to start! First barrier is to start posting videos and not to worry too much about it even if it's not good, the only way to get better is to keep DOING and learn through those mistakes and fix them. Then it's just all about consistency and persistency.

Agreed with the tip about commenting on other people's videos that are related to the topics you like to talk about. It's how I got my first viewers and subscribers back in the day. But like Lana said, don't spam, just add something of value to the conversation and people will notice you :)

1. That top is so lovely
2. It’s so kind of you to, having achieved “success” (however it shall be defined), turn back around and help those trying to do the same thing. I just upload covers and music I write, so not exactly a “YouTuber” haha, but I love your thoughts and your videos and I’m sure so many people will appreciate this and find it helpful.

It's still possible for you to blow up in 2020, never give up fellow small YouTubers.

This is good stuff! Plus, having a calm voice helps to get the message out there clearly. In a world where there's a lot of negativities, we need people like you who inspire us in your own way. Thank you for doing what you do, it takes a lot of courage to put ourselves out there. Keep rocking Lana! 🔥❤️

6:45 I agree with this 100%. Rather than focusing on having the “perfect” video, starting is the better option so you can learn. Decision paralysis is so tricky when you’re trying to think of an interesting video idea. I like how you compared this to cooking - just because you aren’t a perfect chef, it doesn’t mean that you can’t cook at all. Better to try & learn...than to not do anything at all! :)

A message to all those who feel like giving up because they’re too busy with school, work or other commitments - Seriously, don’t just quit and leave all your hard work behind, it’s ok if your upload schedule becomes inconsistent! Your viewers are humans too and will understand! You’ll thank yourself for not quitting when you blow up ;)

Does anyone else really struggle with finding a niche?

I feel like I have so much to talk about, but I'm not an expert on any specific topic and I'm not the best at explaining anything.
I'm just the girl that people go to for advice and to be replenished in my daily life when they feel down.

Other than that I think YouTube is going really well. If you're trying to get pass the threshold to be monetized DON'T GIVE UP! It takes time and discipline and patience.
Your loyal subscribers will eventually find you.

I'm in the middle of filming a new video and can see myself leveling up with each video I post.
At the beginning, it is very hard because you can feel like a workhorse pushing and pushing with little to no reward (other than learning!)
Thank you Lana for being such as inspiration! I absolutely love watching your videos and feel like I learn something new from a friend whenever I watch them. :)

Hey Lana, I think you’re right, the story (content) is key. Also, I think there’s a specific structure of “successful” videos - hook, intro, value proposition, main part, outro. I’d LOVE for you to reflect on my channel. I’m Canada is a digital immigration space, that’s all about immigration to Canada for students.

You speak so calmly and I love it, I opened a YouTube channel to share experiences to help others not to go through what I went through but I find it difficult to pass the message in that specific understanding while being calm, so I have been putting off getting real content out but you have inspired me.
