Outboard Engine Trim & Tilt Stuck

Hi so glad to find this video. I have a mercury on a 1987 searay after sitting w motor down it blew the fuse when trying to tilt back up .. causes?

Mine was stuck in up position after raising it at the boat ramp. This allowed it to lower. After tightening the screw, everything works as it should. Thanks

If this works, you save my LIFE really, (I subscribed too just because this is exactly what I needed, basic knowledge) I'm about to go out in the rain right now to try it. It's stuck up from winter storage, , and I have a charter scheduled for Sat. and Memorial day. Here I go to try.

How do you raise it?

That’s like a hydraulic Jack release to lowering it…

Some of the older engines do not have a release on the ram.

only way it going back up is to lift it by hand 100 or 200 hp tou better be a super strong guy
