Classical Gas (Mason Williams Cover) - Scott Tucker

The past two months I have been busy starting to gig with other musicians again. But I’ve also been working on a solo arrangement of a challenging song I’ve always wanted to play, “Classical Gas”. And I just recorded it!
It’s based on the original Mason William recording. But my arrangement is very different (starting with the intro) because I play it solo without a rhythm section and orchestra. And I play with a flatpick and two fingers which is a very non-classical guitar technique.
After filling my tank and experiencing sticker shock, I had no problem coming up with a theme for the video section. The photos bring back memories of cheap gas and a time when we didn’t realize our emissions were contributing to our Earth's destruction. Hopefully, we can all make some sacrifices now to prevent that from happening. There is no going back to the "good old days".
