I can respect a man who respects Kyoani. They pay their artists hourly, like, the only animation studio to do so there. Angers me even more that all of those talented people got hurt.

Kyoani is the most respectable studio in japan. It was good to their female employees who had kids and promoted a good work and life balance. Japan needs to learn from them honestly.

Now i definitely have to get “Look Back”❤ I love Kyoto animation so much, it’s definitely my favorite anime studio of all time, with Violet Evergarden easily being my favorite series.

i was not expecting this and was having hard time to stop me from bursting into tears, the attack took the lives of my fav animatiors and didn't knew that this manga was a tribute to them as i loved this one-shot and the ending was really sad, it hits really hard

I only recently discovered Look Back a little before the film was announced and I drew the connection to the KyoAni fire, but I didn't know it was actually made because of it. Honestly, it only makes me respect the work even more.

Dont know why no one talks about this, but: Power and „Mirai“ from Kyoukai no Kanata (also KyoAni) have both the same haircolor and can fight with their blood.

Two years on and we have seen the comeback of Kyoto Animation
They are still the same studio, but now with renewed talent, spirit, and hopefully, *Drive* to move forward.

The tragedy is Unforgettable, yes. But for them, its now a reminder.
Life is short. Live it to the fullest.
For those who left behind, those who leave us behind.. and those who we'll meet in the future.

....and yes, an adaptation of LookBack by KyoAni would be the perfect gift for him. No cap.
