Samsung Q70T 4K QLED TV Review | Does it make sense?

Samsung's Q70T surprises us with QLED picture quality that defies the fact that it doesn't support local dimming. But can it get bright enough to do HDR justice, and can it justify its price with the TCL 6-Series and Hisense H9G Quantum coming in at around $500 less for 65-inch models? We find out where the Q70T sits in this review.

It blows my mind to see people actually go out and purchase this TV. There's so many better options out there for the exact same price or a bit cheaper

I have just bought this TV in Australia and it has a different base and also rated as 200hz here. I have no viewing angle issues, its quite wide with only a very slight colour shift on extreme angles.
Could they have upgraded it? Or maybe different specs for Australian market?

Do you have a little bit of backlight bleeding at the edges while watching in a dark room?

Caleb...Please get your hands on a Nano99 to review. The specs on this tv are a gamers delight and has recieved rave reviews from actual owners. I am interested in getting one myself and value your opinion.

Great review, what TV would you recommend for the same value.

I just got this TV a couple days ago and I’m calling BS on SDR brightness at 270, I know what 270 looks like and it’s a lot brighter than that and even Rtings has it at a little over 400 but it does fall short in HDR at only 450-ish.

Would you recommend the Q70t or the LG Nano86 ?

and...8 months later (May 2021): Samsung Q70T ($999), TCL R635 $1.099. Both 65". So id' say the game changed, with HDMI 2.1 Samsung is a better deal.

I want a tv with hdmi 2.1 for the upcoming ps5, I saw this tv and the q80t but the problem is the q80t is double the price of q70t of same size in my country, thats why I find myself forced to the q70t, I hope they could upgrade the hdr brightness via a software update

Yeah, I hate what Samsung has done. This is a decent update to the Q60R, but it isn't to it's namesake the Q70R which was honestly pretty solid.

Now it's time to do a review of the 2021 Vizio P quantum 65 inch

Caleb, You are paying for the name, Samsung. TCL, for the casual shopper, really doesn't mean as much. I am not saying that the TCL was decent for the price, but name Samsung has been in the market for ages. A good review, as always.

I'm planning on buying this TV because is the only one that has the HDMI 2.1 port in my country (Lima, Peru), and that's what I'm only looking for to be honest. There is another one which is the following to this TV, I believe, but is pretty much expensive for me to spend. So, do you recommend me buying this one? Or wait for others to be released?

Correction, this tv is not twice the price of a h9g or tcl 6 series. Since you would have to spend$900 to $950 for those tvs at the 65 inch size. Meaning your saving about $400 for skipping the q70t.

I checked the price for it here in Italy and today it went down to 699! not bad i'd say. Thing is the Q80T; so it's predecessor, is only 100 euros more...damn. Which one should I buy? Is the TCL 55C715 tv equivalent to the US's tcl 6 series??
