Thank you for this. On the latest version (24.4.1), I couldn't simply delete the transcript and paste in my correct version. Then I noticed that under the 3-dots menu on the right-hand side of the Transcript menu, I could select "Import..." and then select "Import corrected transcript (txt)..." After that, it all worked as you said it would.

Thank you so much! You're a life saver and this worked perfectly!! For those who have a huge transcript and are having trouble editing the Transcript in Premiere Pro like I was (my PC was going CRAZY), instead of selecting the whole thing and pasting the correct one, click on the three dots and import a .txt file that has the following format:

00:00:00:01 - 00:42:30:00
Unknown
Entire Script

Now, you're obviously going to have to replace/match the beginning and ending times of the Transcript according to what Premiere Pro originally generated. In the example above, the Transcript ends at 42 minutes and 30 seconds. If you still don't what the format looks like, just export a .txt file from the Text tab and see what that's like.
