MTG Commander Strixhaven Demo ► Lorehold vs Prismari pre-built decks

Join us as we crack open and play a game with the brand new pre-built decks from Commander Strixhaven! Lorehold Legacies (Red/White) featuring Osgir, the Reconstructor and Prismari Performance (Blue/Red) featuring Zaffai, Thunder Collector.

The boards at the bottom center are the Command Zone and track the 40 points of health for each player. The numbers in the bottom corners track the amount of damage dealt by a Commander to each player.

Hey! I'm new to playing Magic so I'm trying to learn the ins and outs. At 56:42 when you have just played 'aether gale'.. would the effect of your card that created the artifact creatures for any instant or sorcery not have created an another 5/5 artifact creature for the aether gale? Or would that effect usually come after the sorcery spell, it's tough to learn which way around all of this would trigger. Also, if you had used the aether gale to return the 8/8 artifact it would have wiped it from your side of the board but then you would have kept your other card and also had a 5/5 artficat still on the board as well created with the trigger from the Aether Gale. In hindsight would this have been a better play or is there a reason for you not to make that move? thanks for the gameplay!

I picked up the Prismari Performance precon
And have upgraded it with

Rack and ruin
Archmage emeritus
Incite rebellion
Risk factor
Thousand year storm
Ral, storm conduit
Niv mizzet parun
Spectacle mage
Magma opus
Jaya’s immolating inferno

It gives you some more draw and a bit more copy

If you had Osgir out you the second time you broughtir Battlesphere out you could have sacraficed it with Osgir, then exiled Mir battlesphere from your graveyard to make 2 tokens of it each with 4 mir tokens. Making any of them attack you could tap all 12 mir's to do 12 damage directly to target player. Not to mention the damage the 3 spheres would do.
