Russia's President Vladimir Putin Joins Bikers for a Ride in Crimea

Russian Pool footage shows Russian President Vladimir Putin attending a biker show in Crimea, Saturday, August 10. The Crimean peninsula was annexed from Ukraine by Russia in 2014, a move seen by many countries as illegal and which led to international sanctions against Moscow. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called Putin's visit to Crimea a "gross violation" of the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Meanwhile, in Russia's capital, Moscow, unrest continues as a monthlong demonstration draws out over fair local elections and anti-Putin protests. Monitoring groups estimate up to 60,000 people attended Saturday’s rally, describing it as the biggest in Russia in the past eight years.
