I got this phone on a whim because mine broke and I wanted something cheap. I've only had it for a week, but I like it. I'm sure many other phones are way better, but I don't think this phone is AS terrible as suggested

I bought this device as secondary work phone and it serves its purpose well. My main phone is an iPhone 14 Pro. I don't think I'd be looking at any sub-$200 Android phone as a "powerhouse". That said, it really was worth the $100 I spent on it new.

The review came off to me more like a "personal" attack on Motorola & the phone. The phone seemed to function fine during his review.Yes it's not super fast as a higher end phone but for the price I believe it's a good decent phone. Not every person is into all the latest tech updates and beat camera pictures. The review was harsh and the narrator came off as if it was more 9d a paid for hit piece in my opinion.

Paid $48, for mine at Dollar General, Verizon's net work, 720 p display, 6.5" display turned of all back ground data, for all 248+ system apps installed task killer this phone runs super fast, + Poetic case, from Amazon, ,, no complaints..

It's a phone and the layout is pretty decent. The screen width isn't as small the new Samsung phones. Also it's a 4G phone.

To be fair my S7 ran way smoother than this phone.. and its got Android 13 if you're willing to risk it.. and it runs really well with it too

Sadly I can nothing but agree. My old phone died so I didn't have time to do research before getting a new phone. This phone was basically free for me so it's not like I paid for it but I was amazed that this phone actually felt slower than my 4 year old g7 power (more likely it was probably about the same but being able to put lineage OS on the g7 probably helped a bit) considering how minimal my phone needs are.

I didn't mind the build or form factor and actually liked the fingerprint sensor on the back as that's what my old phone had. SD slot and 3.5 jack were both on my want list so that was good, but in day to day use this phone just feels terrible. The only good thing like you said was the battery life. If I'm totally honest the 720p didn't really bother me but the brightness (or lack of) was noticeable. After a few days I gave up and started researching phones and ended up going for the nord N20 for ~$175 which I should have on Monday. Like you said this is now basically e-waste since I wouldn't even give or try to sell this phone to someone.

In Europe Motorola is also goning backwards. The moto G52 for example has a 6.6 inc 1080p Amoled screen, while the new G53 has a worse 6.5 inc 720p LCD screen with thicker bezels, a slower chipset, and no more ultra wide lens.

Horray, this phone got a trophy LOL 😂😂😂! This is the one award no phone brand wants their device to receive! I actually used an LG smartphone for a short while a few years ago that scored around 450 on Geekbench 5, so I know how it feels to use a phone this slow. It's borderline excruciating, and it's inexcusable for any smartphone, even one this cheap, in 2023.

In Europe Motorola totally destroyed their G series in 2023 with poor LCD screens and often poor performance and a terrible 1 OS upgrade policy. Motorola Edge series is doing great things with Motorola Edge 40 getting much praise and selling really well with vegan leather finishes plus IP68 water resistance (and Razr Foldables too). But fortunately Motorola seems to be making a comeback with new G series models starting to arrive now this autumn, G14, G54 etc seems to be much better in almost every way compared to G13, G53, G73 etc which all were very disappointing and overpriced.
