Discover how to place an image into text in Adobe InDesign CC 2018. This tutorial will teach you how to turn any text into a compound path using the create outlines command. Meaning you can then edit it as if it were a custom shape you've created.

This opens up loads of creative possibilities and today we want to show you how you can introduce an image into the mix. This is a great technique for creating editorial headings, for use on poster design and really helps you communicate a more complex message with a simple design composition.

A tricky skill to master! This technique could be used with any font style you like so go crazy and we can't wait to see what you come up with!

Remember to check back tomorrow! If you miss a few days don’t worry, keep an eye on our playlist to find monthly roundups of our 365 tutorials.
