Probably a win-win to a good degree here -- you see patterns of miscommunication with the platform (and you can observe if they resolve or not), and Matthew still is signing prints for people. Maybe things can work out for a live event down the road with him involved if his schedule and willingness allow for it.

I don’t know if you will see this John, but I’m pretty certain I know what the mix up was. This Saturday, MatPat (Matthew Patrick) is celebrating his goodbye on GTLive WITH Streamily (they are signing and auctioning off Theorist memorabilia from over the years). Because he is also a celebrity who was in the FNAF movie, whose name is also Matthew, I think they got their lines crossed that he was on the schedule for Saturday. Same day, both in FNAF movie, both named Matthew, I think the honestly mixed Patrick with Lillard. It’s still a big mistake on their part, but I think it’s understandable how it could have happened. There’s always a chance I could be wrong, but I’m pretty certain it was a mixup. Not your fault, and no one could hold you responsible for Streamily’s mistake.

It's not your fault. Please don't beat yourself up over it. You and Dawko had no way of knowing that he wasn't confirmed. They should have been 100% up front with you and should have been honest. Communication is everything, and you're letting us know is very amazing. You're doing a great job keeping people informed. So remember that even though he may not show to have fun with the livestream and smile as you play a good game with your friends.

That being said, I'm so relieved to hear that Matthew reached out to you and it sounds like he knows you guys meant no harm. god, you can tell how stressed out john's been from this, i feel for him so bad. i can't imagine, both feeling like you've let the whole community down/lied to them AND felt like an ass towards matthew (though im 100% sure he'd be nice and understanding about it)* and it's none of your fault but ofc you're going to feel like it is regardless. this sucks john, im so sorry :/
