Just the lack of music, in the beginning, makes the audience feel uneasy. Normally when criminals see Spiderman, they panic but never feel outright terror and fear for their lives.

After he wore the black suit on him, Peter Parker became brutal in fights against criminals like Flint Marko and more aggressive with persons like Mr Diktovitch (even though, later, he apologizes to him for his bad behaviour)

The only thing I don't understand is when peter realizes that the suit is messing with his mind he removes it and it got removed easily whereas in the climax, when he tried to remove it, it didn't
