Former Broward Sheriff Scott Israel has been named the new police chief of the City of Opa-locka. The announcement was made at a Friday afternoon news conference.
City manager said Scott Israel is the BEST person for the job. Think about that.

“On April 20, 2018, the Broward Sheriff's Office Deputies Association—an IUPA labor union local—held a no-confidence vote. It was the first no-confidence vote the union had brought against a sheriff, and was 534–94 against Israel.”
