no ai nonsenses unless asked (which no one did)
no ads on the first thing you see on the page
no random redirects to random unofficial/dangerous websites

That CSE Safari Extension for iOS even has a preset to add &udm=14. It was easy to set up and the app is free. There’s literally no reason not to do it. Thanks for giving visibility to this!

Wow... I sure didn't know about this "good Google" thing... The default Google used to be so great, had become crap... And other search engines are really lacking. Best advice I've ever seen.

I hate the way the address bar has been conflated with the search bar. I recall some years back I wanted to search for information about a particular web site. The reason I wanted this information is because I wasn't sure I could trust it. So naturally I used the website's URL as my search string but, to my horror, it then takes me directly to the site. This is NOT the behaviour you want from a search engine.

The "good google" is the old Google that used to display the number of results found and then let me scroll through hundreds of pages if I wanted too. This limited search they have now is horrible and restrictive.
