Audi S3 8P vs Vw Golf V GTI (Drag Race)

I had a 8p s3 road car and a mk5 golf gti edition 30 hillclimb race car that had to be kept road legal to be allowed to race in the class we were in so what I did was use the s3 Road car to test parts to see if they were any good and if they could last for a while and not break every few weeks, so it turned out that both cars were running around 450bhp and the only thing the s3 did better was launch and cover the first 60 yards, after that the fwd golf was the better car to drive fast, it handled better, felt more responsive and gave you much more information and confidence in feedback cos the s3 felt numb by comparison, don't get me wrong the s3 is a very good car but its just too clinical and capable and you don't feel like part of the process, you are more of a passenger than a driver, the golf edition 30 has the same engine and spec with a tiny little difference to the turbo and its just fwd, but it's lighter and more agile, but the whole point in the s3 is the traction and the ability to go fast everywhere, all the time in all conditions, in the end I think I had it right, s3 for the road and ed30 for fun
