The day had been long; and the adventures grand.
A speck of water caressed her golden hair as she relaxed her weary muscles.
As the drops enveloped her; she curled against herself; her green eyes closed as the lanterns were lit.
A soft melody of strings began to scurry through the water droplets as they fell from above.
Her pointed ears stood up as they caught wind of the delicate song.
Her whole life had been full of adventures.
Her comrades helped bring peace to their world.
She naturally outlived them because of her kind.
Yet, as she sat and listened; she saw her friends once more.
Their smiles, their laughs, their compassion.
She felt a smile cross her face as she listened and watched.
The melody bringing forth the memories.
Of a time; not long forgotten.
