we can’t deny that seeing the demon in the daylight in insidious didn’t scare us all with how unexpected it was.

the ring, amityville horror, the shining, and the exorcist aren’t really scary to me but i could see the potential in how they could be kinda scary (not the exorcist cause it’s just straight up mild gross body horror with vulgar language and i don’t understand how anyone could think it’s scary) the ring has creepy images and samara is a bit creepy but doesn’t scare me it’s kinda slow, the amityville horror isn’t really scary to me (if it’s the remake the only thing that scares me was the little girl in the closet when the babysitter opens the door) but it’s kinda similar to the shining, the shining nothing really that scary just creepy like the twins and creepy vibes and the elevator but it’s just tense when jack fully loses his mind i’m nervous for them but the ghosts aren’t scary. texas chainsaw and silence of the lambs nothing really scary at all just slasher serial killer types and some body horror. i feel anxious not scared.

and if they chose better movie then The Descent would be #1 all day everyday. and jeepers creepers (i know people don’t like the second half but the first half will always make me feel a kind of scared i don’t feel very often(

they did it dirty it doesn't deserve last i watch the shining maybe to a 6 year old but that wasn't scary in the slightest and i can say that for The Exorcist and The Ring

this list is so wrong. the exorcist isn’t even scary it’s just gross and vulgar. insidious or sinister should’ve been 1.
slasher films or thrillers aren’t really scary imo. IT should’ve been before the silence of the lambs, the shining, and texas chainsaw massacre (love them but not scary)
