Drumming & Rain
A Choreographer’s Score by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker & Bojana Cvejić

Drumming & Rain: A Choreographer’s Score is a conversation between the Belgian choreographer, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, and the performance theorist and musicologist, Bojana Cvejić. De Keersmaeker shares her wide-ranging insights into choreography and into the making of Drumming and Rain, two landmark works created to the music of minimalist composer Steve Reich. This third volume in the series A Choreographer’s Score comprises a book of interviews, illustrated with numerous drawings, diagrams, photos, choreographic and dramaturgical materials, and post- performance documents, as well as two DVDs containing excerpts from the works performed by the virtuoso cast of dancers from the Rosas ensemble. Reich’s spellbinding music is performed by the Ictus ensemble. The interviews are accompanied by a third DVD that presents a complete performance of Drumming with optional voice-over commentary.
