I like the King James or new King James translations. The Bible is a very long book. However, even if we only read 10 verses a day from the Old Testament and 10 verses a day from the New Testament it is a huge blessing to us. I hope you are able to find a good Church family. Some (but not all) Southern Baptist, Missionary Baptist, Presbyterian, Missouri Synod Lutheran Churches, Assembly churches, independent Baptist churches are good.
