Scientific Name: Mandrillus leucophaeus

Meet the drill, one of Africa’s rarest primates!
Found only in a small part of Western Africa.
These forest dwellers are closely related to mandrills.
Drills have high sexual dimorphism in terms of weight, with males weighing almost twice that of the females.
Drills live in large groups, led by a dominant male. Sadly, they're endangered, and are therefore the highest conservation priority of all African primates. Habitat loss and illegal hunting are to blame.
Let’s protect these amazing creatures before it’s too late.
