10 Useful Early-Game Tips & Tricks - Terraria 1.4.4.9

Starting an adventure in Terraria is really fun, as a player who has spent many hours in the game, I got a lot of interesting things while playing, the tips and tricks that I show in this video are one of them.

I think the tips and tricks I provide will be useful, especially for those of you who are just starting out. In my opinion, the early phase of the game is more interesting to explore than other phases in the game and in fact I can give more tips in this phase than at the end of the game or something like that.

I've played this game for 2k+ hours, but never thought to use Binoculars as an "extender" for Spelunker potions. Niche, but cool trick!

you can put torches inside of your house right next to your door to make it a pull only door, this blocks most enemies that open doors

I had no clue about the ale on toilet method, also you can stack the toilet and tube by using a water walking potion then right clicking the toilet if its close enough to the surface.

You can also craft ale at a keg, using a glass mug I think?

Hey Icoonigtoo, I absolutely love all of your vids and usually watch every single one due to there high quality and helpful tips/guides! Ever since I found your videos I have finally beat Terraria legit and went on to do so for all four base classes in terraria! Since I did this I decided to try out expert calamity knowing it would definitely be a step up from a normal terraria world and wondered if you would ever in the future/near-future make class guides for calamity and its new class rogue! Sorry for typing so much I just really wanted to get your attention so that I can know the answer to my question, thanks!

A neat trick you can do once you get the mechanic is using actuators on blocks in front of npc houses and wire it to a switch then during an event (blood moon, goblin invasion, etc) flip the switch and viola your town is mostly safe just be wary of mobs who teleport or phase through block

For the door block trick during a blood moon, I would usually place a table or a chair close next to a door, it has to be here for a house, and it locks the door shut for a mob. Not gonna work for a goblin invasion tho, they break them wide open

And i had no idea tube or a toilet will buff you for 4 fishing power. 3k hours in and i still learn something new about this game.

To prevent mobs from entering the house, just place a torch at the door inside the house. Like this for example:
