Activists Protest At Europe's Ageing Nuclear Reactors

240 Greenpeace activists have taken part in protests to highlight the risks of Europe's ageing nuclear power stock. In a total of 6 countries; France, Sweden, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands and Switzerland. The activists carry out a series of different activities at nuclear facilities demanding that their governments stop extending the life-time of these old nuclear reactors and instead invest in the clean and safe alternatives. To achieve that, EU governments should set binding European and national targets for renewables of 45% by 2030 as well as cut carbon emissions by at least 55% and to improve energy efficiency by 40%
