Black bears aren’t known to hunt humans, they eat mostly vegetation and berries, they only ever act in self defense, that’s it

Reminds me of the episode of the Simpsons when the bear came into the neighborhood. Ned Flanders wrecked his car and flung himself into a vertical glass window just to get inside his house and away from it. It turned out the bear was just sitting in the street not doing anything wondering why Ned looked so scared.
In fact all that bear did was nuzzle (thus ruining) the mail box belonging to the Impson family. It was easily brought down by one tranquilizer dart.
