India - China Troops Clash At Tawang | India - China Clash At LAC In Arunachal | UPSC CSE | IAS 2023

Recently, Indian troops and the Chinese forces clashed near a point called Yangtse in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh.

In certain areas along the Line of Actual Control in the Tawang sector in Arunachal Pradesh there are areas of differing perception, where both Indian and the Chinese sides patrol the area up to their claim lines. However, the latest faceoff along the 3,000 km-LAC comes as India kicked off a series of events as part of its presidency of the G20.

The 17, 000 ' mountain peak at the Yangtse area is a strategic height with commanding views of the sector . The PLA tried a few times to take it over . Part of their " salami slicing " tactics .
